Growing a Greener Future: Sustainability Projects Across GSCS

Teachers and students in the Sustainability Academy—along with other academies across the elementary, middle, and high schools—are actively engaged in a wide variety of sustainability and gardening projects.

From planting and maintaining school gardens to exploring innovative ways to reduce waste and conserve resources, students are gaining hands-on experience that connects classroom learning to real-world environmental stewardship.

These projects not only support our district’s commitment to sustainability, but also empower students to become thoughtful, informed caretakers of their communities and the planet.
