Attendance

We value good attendance at GSMS. Good attendance is necessary for student success both in and out of the classroom. Statistics show chronic absences by the sixth grade are a leading indicator of a student dropping out of high school. When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating. We do our best to promote attendance through student involvement, classroom engagement, and positive rewards. We also encourage parents to do their best in scheduling appointments after school hours. Please help us help our children be successful!
