What is the car line route for my child’s school?
• GSES Car Line Route
• GSMS Car Line Route
• GSHS Car Line Route
What if I need to drop off/pick up at multiple schools? Do I have to go through more than one car line?
• Parents can drop all children off at the school of the youngest child. The older children will walk to their school. The same procedure is applicable for afternoon pick up.
What if my high school child drops off/picks up a younger sibling?
• High school drivers can park in the high school student parking lot to walk the elementary sibling to GSES, or drop the sibling off in the GSES car line. After exiting the GSES car line, high school drivers should proceed via 16th Avenue to Dolphin Avenue to the student parking lot. The same procedures are applicable for afternoon pick up.
• Middle school students can walk from the GSHS student parking lot to the middle school. The same procedure is applicable for afternoon pick up.
What if my child walks or bikes to school via 15th Avenue/Back Country Trail?
• There will be a police officer at East 2nd Street and East 15th Avenue to assist with pedestrian crossing.
• In the morning, a teacher will assist students across the street at East 3rd Street and East 15th Avenue.
• In the afternoon, a teacher will escort elementary students to East 3rd Street and East 15th Avenue.
What if my child walks or bikes to school via 16th Avenue?
• There will be a police officer at East 3rd Street and Dolphin Avenue to assist with pedestrian crossing.
• In the morning, there will be a teacher at East 3rd Street and East 16th Avenue to assist with pedestrian crossing.
• In the afternoon, a teacher will escort elementary students to East 3rd Street and East 16th Avenue.
• Parents who walk or ride bikes home with their children can wait near the bike path. Benches will be available. The teacher will verify student number tags with parent number tags before releasing students.
