NJHS is looking for students who demonstrate excellence in all of these areas—along with strong academic performance. If you’re committed to being a leader in both the classroom and the community, NJHS could be the perfect fit for you!

Who Can Join?

  • 7th & 8th Grade Students who have been enrolled at Gulf Shores Middle School for at least one semester.

  • Must maintain a 90% or higher average in core classes (excluding 6th grade grades).

  • Must show strong qualities of leadership, service, character, and citizenship.

  • Required to complete service hours in both 7th and 8th grade.

  • Eligible students are inducted into the National Chapter at the end of 8th grade.

6th Grade Applicants:

  • Applications are accepted at the end of 6th grade.

  • Must have a 90% average in core classes to be accepted as a club member.

As a member of NJHS, you’ll work alongside some of the school’s most dedicated and high-achieving students. You’ll attend meetings, complete service projects, and grow as a student leader—all while giving back to your school and community.
