National Junior Honor Society

Organization Description:

NJHS is looking for students who demonstrate excellence in all of these areas—along with strong academic performance. If you’re committed to being a leader in both the classroom and the community, NJHS could be the perfect fit for you!
Who Can Join?

7th & 8th Grade Students who have been enrolled at Gulf Shores Middle School for at least one semester.

Must maintain a 90% or higher average in core classes (excluding 6th grade grades).

Must show strong qualities of leadership, service, character, and citizenship.

Required to complete service hours in both 7th and 8th grade.

Eligible students are inducted into the National Chapter at the end of 8th grade.
6th Grade Applicants:

Applications are accepted at the end of 6th grade.

Must have a 90% average in core classes to be accepted as a club member.
As a member of NJHS, you’ll work alongside some of the school’s most dedicated and high-achieving students. You’ll attend meetings, complete service projects, and grow as a student leader—all while giving back to your school and community.
