Peer Helpers

Club Description:

The Peer Helping Program is designed to make middle school a more positive and supportive place for everyone. Peer Helpers are 8th grade students who are trained to support their classmates by promoting kindness, inclusion, and healthy choices. They serve as role models and leaders, encouraging others through their actions and words.

Peer Helpers are expected to:

  • Maintain high personal standards

  • Commit to a drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free lifestyle

  • Attend meetings before and after school as needed

  • Participate in school events and activities

The program is led by Mrs. Holmes and Mrs. Erdossy. Students interested in joining apply at the end of 7th grade and are notified over the summer if they’ve been accepted. Selected students will be enrolled in Peer Helpers as an elective during their 8th grade year.
